2024/2025 Appeal Theme: "Love One Another"

The 2024/2025 World Services & Self-Denial Appeal, "Love One Another" is inspired by the command in 1 John 4:11, "Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another". Having received the love of God, we are motivated and instructed to love one another.

Self-Denial was started in 1886 by The Salvation Army’s founder, General William Booth. He called Salvationists to exercise joyful, sacrificial giving, to bless others in need around the world. The funds collected are sent to the places that need it most and it supports the mission of The Salvation Army around the world. It pays for the essential things that most of us don't think about, like admin and church infrastructure. Things you might not notice until they're not there. That means Salvation Army officers, staff, and volunteers can get on with the vital work they are doing.

We have faith that “if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us” (1 John 4:12). As we walk in God's love for us, it will be evident in our love for one another!

Resources for this appeal will be released throughout the year, beginning in April 2024 until December 2025. Keep an eye out for emails from the World Missions department.
