Heather Hummelsheim

Heather Hummelsheim is the Senior Director, Communications + Engagement at Ross Stores, Inc., the nation’s largest off-price retail chain that offers customers a constant stream of high-quality department and specialty store brands at extraordinary savings (aka bargains) while providing an easy, fun and organized shopping experience. In her role, Heather leads a dynamic team in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals.

Prior to joining Ross in 2022, Heather served as the Director of Executive Communications for The Americas at Marriott International where she developed and executed strategy for the Group President who has P&L responsibility for more than 6,000 hotels and a workforce over 160,000 employees. In addition, she counseled The Americas C-Suite team on strategic communication needs; including developing 2021 key messages to support rebuilding and recovery post-COVID. Heather previously held a variety of Corporate Communications roles at BAE Systems, Inc.

Heather currently resides in Stockton, CA, with her husband, Scott, their energetic three-year-old, August, and tiny but mighty dog, Mack.
