Douglas Coates

Douglass Coates is a long-time transportation industry operating executive and consultant, and is considered to be an innovator in international and domestic transportation and logistics. Coates has held senior bottom-line and functional positions in industry and has served as a consultant in the field.

Most recently, he has served as the CEO for MICP Capital, which includes a major private equity firm, a broad-based investment bank, family investment trust and several strategic industry companies in its clients list.

Coates also worked 16 years for TranSystems Corporation as the President of the Supply Chain and Logistics practice of the firm, where he oversaw more than 160 professionals. Coates also serves as the Chairman of The Salvation Army Monterey Corps Advisory Board.
