Schools for Disabled Children
The Salvation Army operates schools for children with physical and mental disabilities all around the world. In Kenya alone, we have 18 schools for children with visual, physical and hearing impairments. Our commitment to education for disabled children extends to Bangladesh, Jamaica, and beyond. While poverty limits access to quality education for children with disabilities, sponsorship helps open doors by providing the funds needed to accommodate the children and their special needs. School Fees
Sponsorship helps orphaned and abandoned children in Salvation Army children's homes access education by helping pay for their school fees, supplies and uniforms. Clean Water & Sanitation
We work to provide music and arts programs that many schools can no longer afford. From choirs to instrument training, poetry to painting, drama to dance, after-school lessons and activities help introduce children to the beauties of the fine arts.
Tutoring & Homework Assistance
The Salvation Army has strategically placed afterschool programs in communities immersed in poverty, gang activity, and drug abuse to provide a safe space for children and youth with nowhere else to go.
