Joey Zumaya

Joey Zumaya is a business and community leader with a passion to empower underserved communities. At LinkedIn, he leads social impact teams and initiatives that include non-profit engagement, community development, and diversity inclusion and belonging (DIBs).

Joey is a thought leader who sits on several boards, most notably the National Board of The Salvation Army which serves millions of people a year in the United States. His online courses have been viewed by over half a million professionals around the world.

Over the course of his career, Joey has received various awards for his business accomplishments and philanthropic impact.

Joey was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, and is a descendant of Jose Francisco Ortega, a Spanish “comandante” who was instrumental in establishing the historical network of missions in California.

Joey is also a founding partner of The Zumaya Group, a “for good” consulting firm advising organizations on all things talent and strategy.
