The Salvation Army Denver announces new Chairman of the Board
Greg Milzcik elected new Denver Metro Advisory Board Chairman

DENVER, CO (February 11, 2019) – The Salvation Army is pleased to announce that Greg Milzcik has been elected as Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Denver Metro Salvation Army. He replaces Lyle Laverty whose term as Chairman ended in January 2019.

Milzcik was President and Chief Executive Officer of Barnes Group Inc. from 2006 until his retirement in 2013. Mizcik’s 35-year career has included experience in management, operations and technical positions at a number of leading aerospace companies.

Milzcik has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, and became involved with The Salvation Army Denver Metro Advisory Board after donating to the Big Thompson River flood relief. He joined the board in 2015 leading the program committee.

“I could not be more humbled than to have the opportunity to lead the Denver Advisory Board, the board is made up of truly exceptional community leaders.” says Milzcik. “The Salvation Army is the most sincere and dedicated group of people I have met and I look forward to helping them in Doing The Most Good.”

The Salvation Army Denver Metro Advisory Board Executive Committee includes: Greg Milzcik, Jane McKinstry (Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary), Tim David (retired), Larry Burgess (L&M Capital Investments), Dennis Head (retired), Jeremy Hubbard (FOX31 News), General Jay Lindell (Aerospace and Defense Industry Champion), Susan Rutherford, and Thom Scheffel (TNS & Associates, P.C.).
