Help Provide Christmas for a Child in Rural Alaska

The Salvation Army is celebrating it's 50th year of partnership with the Alaska Air National Guard. Along with many other community and organizational supporters, The Salvation Army has helped share the joy of the holiday season with thousands of children in rural Alaska. With the Christmas season fast approaching, your support at home in Alaska is greatly needed.

This year, Operation Santa is scheduled to visit the communities of Napakiak on November 18 and Tuntuliak in December. The entire community is invited to Operation Santa and is cause for celebration, often encompassing singing carols, watching local dance groups perform and even sharing ice cream sundaes together! For many of the children, this is their first time visiting with Santa and sometimes it's the first time for elders as well.

In addition to a Christmas gift, Santa hands out new backpacks, hygiene supplies, new school supplies, fresh fruit and books.
Please help support this wonderful - and uniquely Alaskan - holiday tradition!
  • $20 will provide a new toy for a child
  • $50 will provide a new backpack with hygiene supplies and stocking stuffers
  • $100 will provide new school supplies for a classroom
