37% of homeless men and 32% of homeless women suffer from co-occurring mental health and substance-use disorders.

Unfortunately, many service providers do not have the training or experience to understand the invidious impact of these issues, or how to best employ those suffering from mental illness or past trauma.

The Salvation Army helps those in need get back on their feet.

The Salvation Army is a welcome refuge of resources and support for those stuck in prolonged unemployment. Through programs designed to address the mind, body and soul, we treat the symptoms of chronic joblessness, as well as the root issues that cause it. This holistic approach works to create sustainable change in millions of lives, every day - and millions of families every year.
